IoT Solutions
IoT is an emerging market integrating network communications into consumer and security electronics, automobile electronics, and industrial control electronics. Realtek provides a total IoT solution, Ameba (RTL8711AF and RTL8195AM). Our miniature module reference design ensures our solution is compatible with market requirements for compact IoT products, e.g. smart plugs, smart home appliances, home security systems, and smart sensor/lighting devices. In addition, the low power design is perfect for battery-powered appliances.
Ameba consists of a high-performance CPU (ARM Cortex-M3) and memory. Ameba provides complete networking and Wi-Fi protocols, including hardware SSL engine, multiple serial ports, e.g. UART, I2C, SPI, and PWM, and high-speed SDIO. The RTL8195AM integrates with ADC and DAC to directly control analog type sensors or devices. With these features, customers can use the minimum of external components to realize their IoT product functions.

The Realtek RTL8723BS is an SDIO 2.0/3.0 solution comprising WLAN, BT, and FM Receiver. Its small module size, low power consumption, and intelligent coexistence mechanism makes it ideal for multiple applications such as tablets equipped with the latest Intel Bay Trail platform, smart phones, 2-in-1 detachable/convertible notebooks, and HDMI dongles (TV stick).
We also offer a new high-speed WLAN 802.11ac standard single-chip solution, the RTL8881AM, that can be applied in multiple wireless applications, such as AP/Routers, smart toys, and IP cameras.
